Goal and Objective
Goal: Students will be able to utilize the skills of
listening and speaking for the purposes
of suggestions.
Objectives: Students are able to understand the short
conversation in English about suggestion.
Developing
materials:
1. Teacher brainstorms the students
about suggestions, whether they have ever suggested someone else to do
something.
2. Teacher gives some instructions
before playing the tape recorder.
3. Teacher asks students to analyze how
the speaker suggests. And the expression of suggestion.
4. Teacher starts to play the tape
recorder.
5. After playing the tape recorder,
teacher asks students discuss what they have analyzed about expressing
suggestion based on the conversation. And then write it down on the white
board.
6. Teacher explains what students have
got.
7. And then teacher replay the tape
recorder to make sure whether they are right or not. And then they discuss it
together.
8. Teacher plays another short
conversation on the tape recorder and then they discuss it together.
9. Finally, teacher and students
conclude what expression they can use to express suggestions.
Example of conversation:
Joe: Joe, you look pale, are you OK?
John : no, I’m not so well today. I got headache.
Joe : I think you should
consume an aspirin.
John : well, that’s a good suggestion.
