GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF ENGLISH FOR NURSE

Goals	objectives
1.    Student will be able to utilize the skills of listening and speaking for the purposes: providing and obtaining information, giving information, expressing personal feeling and offering help.	·     Comprehend messages and short conversation when listening to doctor and patients, or interact to the people in the hospital ·     Understand the main idea and some gist on the video or the tape recorder ·     Speak to native speaker or fluent individuals ·     Select the appropriate vocabulary to arrange the topics, employing simple, and complete sentences in the present, past and future form ·     Speak spontaneously in their interactions.
2.    Student will be able to utilize the skill of reading and writing for the purposes of providing and obtaining information and giving information.	·     Finding the main idea and the gist of the report ·     Writing the report of patient ·     Giving information through writing
3.    Student will develop cross cultural skill and understandings of perceptions gesture.	·     Studying about culture, gesture, and perception, how to understand patient.
4.    Student will develop their skills.	·     Practicing a lot about the 4 skills, they are listening, speaking, reading and writing.
